As a sub-editor for one of the premier news channels in India, NDTV.com, thereafter an editor for social science books and literature in translation titles in one of the top academic publishing houses in the country, Orient BlackSwan Pvt Ltd., and then as a graduate student at a University of repute where I had to contend with native speakers and writers of English - I have over the course of the last 8 years written much. By "much" I mean I have written in different genres, for different audiences, and in different voices while essentially holding on to a voice that is expressive of my own. As part of my Portfolio as a professional and student, I have presented here descriptions and links to some of my writing samples. The web pages which had the published pieces with my byline on them are no longer existent and thus I have not provided the links here, or on my resume. Instead the samples have been given as PDFs that are downloadable. The unpublished pieces encompass writing that I have done as a graduate student and researcher across the 2 years that I was a Masters student at NC State University. I write poetry too: I provide below an external link to a blog space that contain some of the poetry that I have written over the years.
